A perennial, prostrate herb with upright stem common in sub-tropical and temperate zones.
Taxonomic Features
Leaves with silver patches, and pointed lobes, hastate (arrow head- shaped), pale green, with petiole of same length as that of blade. Inflorescence terminal panicles with erect divergent branches. Flower small, pinkish. Perianth segments ovate-elliptic, valve thin, nerved orbiculate-cordate. Fruit a nut, up to 2 mm long and brown.

Medicinal Value
Locally used to cure jaundice and sun strokes, also used as refrigerant, diuretic and anti scorbutic. Local herbalists use it in high blood pressure and also used for abortion.
