sub-alpine zones.
Taxonomic Features
Leaves simple, elliptic to narrow-lanceolate, margin entire or minutely toothed. Inflorescence a raceme, axillary or on short branches, many flowered. Flower in clusters, white, borne in axial of spines, 7-15mm across. Calyx cup-shaped with 5 unequal rounded lobes. Petals round. Fruit a drupe, oblong-cylindrical, fleshy, dark purple, one-seeded.
