Taxonomic Features
Leaf simple, ovate to oblong-oval or broadly elliptic, acute or acuminate with thick cuticle, dark green above, pale green below. Inflorescence pyramidal panicles up to 25cm long, 15cm broad at base. Flower creamy white, scented, sessile. Corolla tube as long as calyx. Fruit a berry , obovoid, purplish blue when ripe.
