Taxonomic Features
Stem longitudinal furrowed. Middle and upper cauline leaves usually entire, 10-20cm long. Flower heads few, sub globose. Involucral bracts lanceolate. Receptacular bracts linear, spiny. Flower creamy-white. Calyx 4-lobed. Fruit an achene, ellipsoid, glabrous.
