Leaves simple, long petiolate, cordate, double serrate, upper surface hairy. Inflorescence terminal. Male flower with two outer segments which are pink and sub-orbicular to ovate. Female flower with 5 ovate-oblong segments. Fruit a capsule, winged. Seed brown and oval.
