Taxonomic Features
Leaves compound, imparipinnate. Leaflets 5-13 in number, elliptic to ovate, toothed and densely hairy on underside. Inflorescence a spike, bearing many small flowers. Flower actinomorphic, spicate, generally yellow, 5mm across. Sepals-5. Petals-5. Fruit an achene in closed hypanthium, prickly, ribbed.

Medicinal Value
It treats gastritis, cystitis, kidney stone, cough, sore throat, also has powerful blood coagulant properties. Locally decoction of root used to cure kidney problems, tuberculosis and leucorrhea.
